Delivering Christmas trees to Minnesotans
who need a little extra care during the holidays
Hello Minnesotans! Let's show 'em how we deliver!!
We need your help delivering free Christmas trees (plus stands, lights, and ornaments) to individuals and families in Minnesota.
Delivering Christmas trees is, by far, the most enjoying and rewarding aspect of The Giving Trees. Whether you're delivering solo, with friends, or as a family, nothing compares to the interactions our reindeer have when showing up at someone's door with a tree, other goodies, and a smile.
🌲 In 2020, our first year, we delivered 117 trees around the Pacific Northwest
🌲 In 2021, we delivered 721 trees across 12 US states
🌲 In 2022, we'll deliver >1,442 trees across 50 US states + 5 other countries (at least!)
To help us serve as many families as possible this season, please:
1. Review the volunteer delivery (aka 'reindeer') information below
2. Complete the form at the bottom of this page (or jump straight to the form)
Each tree recipient receives the following items:
🌲 Christmas tree (Usually a natural Douglas Fir that is ~5 ft / ~1.5 m in height)*
Here's how the delivery process typically works:
Good for you to know:
Expressing potential interest via form below: This adds you to our list of people who might like to deliver Christmas trees this holiday season. This does not commit you to delivering trees or participating in any other way - that comes later. (Step #3 above)
Delivery Dates: We complete deliveries between Thursday 11/25 and Sunday 12/24 - the earlier the better so people get to enjoy their trees as much as possible.
The Tree Package: Each delivery includes a ~5 ft (~1.5 m) natural Christmas tree, plus a gift bag with a stand, lights, and ornaments. Delivering a tree includes shopping for these items.
The 'Drop': While we deliver the trees + accessories to peoples' doors, we do not decorate the tree for them. If they request your help putting the tree in the stand, that is 100% up to you.
We cover expenses: The Giving Trees covers your expenses, via advance or reimbursement. Some delivery volunteers choose to donate part/whole of what they purchase for the family. The Giving Trees is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization so all donations are tax-deductible.
Recipients = Clients: Tree recipients are our clients, and we take great pride in delivering outstanding client service. So, we ask our delivery volunteers to be prompt and professional in their communications with tree recipients, whether it's by phone, text, or in-person.
Confirming your interest: We'll follow up with you once we've identified a tree recipient in your local area so we can see if you're still interested.
To add your name to the list of potential deliverers, please complete the form below.
Again, thank you. We literally cannot do this without you and others helping us deliver trees.
